Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to oversee our finance operations and play a key role in strengthening our financial systems and controls. This is a senior role that will directly support top management and provide opportunities for leadership growth. Outstanding performers will be considered for future internal promotion to CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and management reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS/SFRS(I).
- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations including AR/AP, GL, month-end and year-end close, and revenue recognition.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls, compliance frameworks, and risk management processes.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis with accurate data and insights.
- Partner with management in financial planning, operational efficiency, and process improvement.
- Mentor and manage the accounting team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Contribute to system improvements, including ERP implementation and automation initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Controllership or Deputy FC role.
- Strong technical accounting background with hands-on IFRS/SFRS(I) experience.
- Big 4 audit training is required.
- Proven track record in improving processes, internal controls, and implementing ERP systems.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Full professional proficiency in English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus for liaising with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the education sector or a multi-entity, service-based business.
