Our Client
Our client is an international infrastructure investment platform with substantial operating assets in India and a Singapore-based holding structure. They are looking for an experienced Finance Controller to act as a key finance interface between Singapore entities, India finance teams, co-investors and senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own financial reporting, accounting, management reporting and close processes for Singapore holding and investment entities.
- Coordinate reporting across Singapore and India, including consolidation, intercompany balances, accruals, provisions and audit deliverables.
- Act as the key Singapore finance interface with India finance teams, ensuring clear ownership, timely delivery and resolution of financial issues.
- Manage finance-related requests from co-investors, shareholders, board members and senior management.
- Support capital contributions, distributions, shareholder funding, intercompany flows and other cross-border transactions.
- Oversee cash management, liquidity forecasting, banking activities and payment controls for relevant Singapore entities.
- Work closely with tax, legal, treasury and external advisers on cross-border tax, statutory and governance matters.
- Strengthen finance controls, reporting processes and approval frameworks across the Singapore-India structure.
- Support acquisitions, refinancing, restructurings and other investment-related transactions where required.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Approximately 8–12 years of post-qualification finance experience.
- Strong controllership, group reporting and consolidation experience.
- Practical experience working with Singapore holding or investment entities connected to businesses or projects in India.
- Good understanding of India accounting, tax, statutory, treasury and intercompany matters.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and/or SFRS; familiarity with Ind AS would be advantageous.
- Experience managing co-investors, shareholders, boards and senior management stakeholders.
- Experience with capital movements, shareholder funding, distributions and cross-border banking arrangements.
- Infrastructure, investment-platform, private equity portfolio company or other asset-heavy industry experience would be advantageous.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to operate effectively across Singapore and India.
