Financial Controller (Shared Services Experience Required)

A global technology platform is looking to hire a senior finance professional to lead group reporting, controllership, compliance, and governance activities across multiple entities. The role offers the opportunity to manage and partner closely with a sizeable shared services finance team based in India, including quarterly travel, while supporting broader regional growth and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Group Controllership

• Review and sign off on monthly management accounts across the Group and multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

• Act as the key point of contact for external auditors across annual statutory and consolidated audits

• Review balance sheet reconciliations including AR/AP, accruals, provisions, reserves, and intercompany balances

• Oversee technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, ESOP accounting, and capitalisation policies

• Drive finance process improvements, governance initiatives, and internal control enhancements across the Group

Tax, Transfer Pricing & Regulatory Compliance

• Review corporate income tax filings across multiple jurisdictions and ensure compliance with local regulations

• Manage the Group's transfer pricing framework, including intercompany allocations and annual documentation

• Review GST/VAT and withholding tax filings across entities

• Prepare and coordinate regulatory reporting requirements with relevant authorities

• Oversee corporate insurance coverage across international operations

• Monitor changes in accounting and tax regulations, assessing impact across the Group

Corporate Governance & Business Support

• Review corporate secretarial documentation and support governance related matters across entities

• Coordinate with corporate secretaries on statutory filings, annual returns, and board documentation

• Support fundraising, investor due diligence, and corporate documentation processes

• Partner closely with legal, compliance, and operational stakeholders on expansion initiatives, licensing matters, and new market entry activities

• Support grant related applications, reporting, and compliance requirements where applicable

Commercial Finance & Leadership

• Partner with senior leadership teams on financial analysis, performance tracking, and business insights

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long term financial planning activities

• Review commercial agreements and highlight financial or compliance related risks where required

• Lead and manage a sizeable shared services finance team based in India, including regular engagement and quarterly travel

Key Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy with professional accounting qualifications such as CA, CPA, or ACCA

• 10+ years of finance and controllership experience, ideally with Big 4 training followed by commercial industry exposure

• Prior experience managing or partnering with shared services teams is essential

• Strong technical accounting knowledge across IFRS and financial reporting standards

• Experience working within complex, multi entity international environments

• Hands-on exposure to ERP systems and reporting tools

• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and stakeholder management capabilities
