Financial Controller (SGX Listed, Manufacturing)

The Company

Our client is an established Singapore-headquartered Manufacturing business, seeking a hands-on, resilient and driven Finance Director to lead its finance function through a period of transformation and change.

The successful candidate should be comfortable operating in lean and evolving environment where a hands-on approach is required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leadership role.
• SGX reporting experience required
• Recent manufacturing, industrial or operationally complex business experience required.
• Resilient, adaptable, and effective in navigating ambiguity, changes, and complex business challenges.
• Comfortable operating in lean and evolving environment where a hands-on approach is required
• Proven experience in stabilising and transforming finance functions, personally driving ERP, finance transformation, system implementation and/or material process improvement.
• Prior Big 4 training can be a plus.
• Required: Immediate availability, or a notice period of 1-month

Job Scope

Reporting to CEO and working closely with the Board, this role offers the opportunity to strengthen processes, shape the finance agenda, and build a scalable foundation for future growth.

This is a highly visible leadership position requiring a hands-on and commercially minded finance leader who is comfortable operating in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial governance, supporting business decisions, and driving changes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full spectrum of accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control activities.
• Partner closely with the CEO, senior leadership team, and Board on financial strategy and business performance.
• Oversee SGX reporting, statutory compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead organisation-wide finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation, chart of accounts redesign, process improvements, and control enhancements.
• Review and strengthen financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Provide leadership and development to the finance team, including building team capabilities and supporting change management efforts.
• Drive performance management and business partnering initiatives to support operational and commercial decision-making.
• Support the business through ongoing transformation and organisational change while maintaining financial discipline and operational continuity.
