Job purpose:
The Financial Controller plays a key role in driving financial transparency and supporting strategic decision‑making across the region. The role is responsible for delivering accurate management accounts, insightful analysis, and robust financial planning to help senior management steer performance. By partnering closely with cross‑functional teams, the Financial Controller ensures strong cost discipline, effective cash flow management, and timely reporting. The position also contributes to continuous process improvement, strengthens financial controls, and supports special initiatives that enhance business efficiency and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prepare monthly financial reports, and variance analysis.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, cost performance, and support working capital management.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Develop and maintain cost allocation models, including product costing and profitability analysis across markets.
- Support internal controls, compliance, and audit requirements in line with corporate and regional standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Supply Chain) to analyze business performance and drive efficiency.
- Prepare management dashboards and KPI tracking to support timely, accurate leadership reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes through standardization, automation, and enhancement of reporting cycles.
- Handle adhoc tasks, special projects, and initiatives assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CPA preferred.
- Understanding of accounting principles and consolidation.
- 5–10 years of relevant accounting/FP&A experience, ideally in a regional or multinational setting.
- Exposure to cross functional, multi-cultural collaboration, particularly with sales teams, and financial management in Asia-Pacific.
- Strong analytical skills, business judgment, and confidence to challenge assumptions.
- Experience in management reporting, consultancy, and working with senior management/cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and ability to engage stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, SAP experience / AI will be a plus.
- Independent, proactive, and able to work effectively in a remote environment.
