Job Description

Financial Reporting & Controllership

  • Lead and manage the full spectrum of finance functions across multiple entities, including asset companies, SPVs, and holding companies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee consolidation, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, governance, and financial processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Review and validate financial data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

Finance Operations & Cash Flow Management

  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and cash management.
  • Manage operational and long-term cash flow planning to support business growth and financing obligations.
  • Monitor working capital and liquidity requirements across entities and jurisdictions.
  • Support pre- and post-financing activities, including loan drawdown and financing documentation support.
  • Drive process efficiency and operational improvements across finance functions.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Project Monitoring

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises across multiple business platforms.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
  • Track construction-in-progress (CIP) and project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and project timelines.
  • Partner closely with project, commercial, and operational teams to ensure financial discipline throughout project execution.

Tax, Audit & Compliance

  • Oversee tax compliance matters across relevant jurisdictions, including corporate tax, GST/VAT/SST, withholding tax, and transfer pricing coordination.
  • Lead external audits and ensure timely completion of statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulators on finance-related matters.
  • Review company secretarial documentation, including share allotments and corporate actions, to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage periodic regulatory submission i.e. MAS/IRAS S13O/13U

Finance Transformation & Process Improvement

  • Drive finance transformation initiatives, automation, system enhancements, and process optimization projects.
  • Improve reporting capabilities, operational workflows, and financial visibility across the organization.
  • Establish scalable finance processes suitable for a growing and evolving business environment.

Business Partnering & Leadership

  • Act as a strong business partner to management and cross-functional stakeholders by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate effectively with regional teams, operational teams, project teams, and external parties.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members to build a high-performing finance organization.
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and a results-oriented culture.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–15 years of relevant finance experience, preferably with exposure to regional operations and multiple entities.
  • Experience in financial reporting, controllership, audit, tax, cashflow management, and finance operations.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and project financial monitoring.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on operationally. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • High sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to meet tight timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with financial ERP systems i.e. Netsuite Oracle.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and unstructured business environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and manage finance teams across regions.
  • Prior experience in real estate, fund management, logistics, industrial, construction, or property management sectors would be advantageous.
