Financial Controller

Role Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Financial Controller to lead our finance function during a period of rapid industrial and technological expansion. You will be responsible for the integrity of our financial reporting, the robustness of our internal controls, and the optimization of our cash flow as we scale our $80Mautomated farming facility.

This is a unique opportunity to apply financial rigor to a Factory of the Future, integrating AI-driven automation and robotics with sustainable agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

. Financial Governance & Reporting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Ensure all financial statements are accurate and compliant with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).

. Annual Budget Preparation and Control: Liaising with all department on Annual Budget preparation and on control of monthly budget with alignment to set budgets.

. Cost Accounting & Operations: Oversee project-based cost accounting for our vertical farming infrastructure. Manage inventory valuation (biological assets) and manufacturing variances in ahigh-tech hydroponic environment.

. Strategic Cash Management: Monitor and forecast cash flow to support heavy R&D and capital expenditure (CAPEX). Manage banking relationships, loan covenants, and government grant compliance (e.g., IMDA/ESG grants).

. System Implementation: Drive the digitization of the finance function. Partner with our tech team to ensure ERP and AI-driven automation tools integrate seamlessly with financial reporting.

. Audit & Compliance: Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax consultants. Ensure timely filing of corporate tax, GST, and statutory requirements.

. Business Partnership: Provide the C-suite with actionable insights on margins, energy efficiency impacts on COGS, and the profitability of our make-to-order retail segments.

. Group Reporting: Responsible for the architecture and execution of the Group's financial reporting framework, ensuring transparency across all subsidiaries.

. Investment/M&A: Support ad-hoc investment and M&A activities when required, which will include project funding, corporate fundraising, etc.

. Strategical consulting: Provide business analytics and insights to support strategic and operational decision making.

Required Qualifications & Skills

. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.

. CA/CPA or equivalent

Experience

Minimum 8-10years of progressive experience, with at least 3 years in a Controllership or Senior Finance Manager role. Candidate with prior experience managing overseas subsidiaries (eg. Malaysia) is highly regarded

. Industry Background: Experience in Manufacturing, Agri-Tech, or Construction is highly advantageous due to the complexity of CAPEX and inventory management.

. Tech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Xero, or SAP) and high-level Excel modeling. Familiarity with AI or automated data workflows is a plus.

. Attributes: A startup mindset-adaptable, proactive, and capable of building structure in a fast- evolving, high-growth environment.
