Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Assistant to join our finance team in Singapore. As a Financial Assistant, you will provide essential support in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with day-to-day financial operations. You will work closely with the finance team and assist with tasks such as bookkeeping, invoicing, and financial reporting, contributing to the efficient running of the department.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including processing invoices, receipts, and payments. Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and entered into the system.
- Bookkeeping Support: Support the team in managing daily bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements.
- Invoice Management: Prepare and send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Ensure timely processing and accuracy in billing.
- Expense Reports: Assist in processing employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with company policies. Ensure all expenses are documented correctly and approved by the relevant managers.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Assistance: Help the finance team with budget preparation and forecasting. Assist in compiling data for financial projections and maintaining budget records.
- Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tasks.
- Tax Preparation Assistance: Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring that all necessary documents and information are provided to the tax authorities.
- Audit Preparation: Help with the preparation of documents for internal and external audits. Ensure all financial records are ready for audit review and comply with regulations.
- General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance team, such as organizing meetings, managing financial documents, and coordinating communication with external parties (e.g., vendors, clients).
Requirements:- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a finance or administrative role. Internships or relevant part-time work experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP) is a plus.
- Ability to use Excel for basic financial tasks, including creating spreadsheets, basic formulas, and data analysis.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with colleagues and clients.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records.
