Financial Analyst - Energy Engineering Procurement and Construction Group (EPC) Group

Overview

This is a well-established regional engineering and project-based services organization operating across the industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors. As part of its continued growth and commitment to strengthening financial performance management, the company is seeking a commercially minded Financial Analyst to support senior finance leadership in delivering high-quality reporting, business insights, and performance analysis across a diverse portfolio of projects and operations. The role is located in the West of Singapore.

Role

Reporting to the Finance Director and CFO, the Financial Analyst plays a key role in driving financial visibility and business performance. You will oversee management reporting, analyse business and project profitability, evaluate margin trends, and provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making. The role requires a strong ability to challenge assumptions, investigate variances, and identify commercial risks and opportunities. In addition, you will partner closely with operational stakeholders on forecasting, budgeting, and project reviews, while contributing to finance transformation initiatives through reporting automation, dashboard development, and continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Requirements

The successful candidate is a degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or ACCA considered advantageous. You will bring around 5 years of relevant experience, ideally gained through a combination of Big 4 audit, FP&A, business analysis, or finance transformation roles. Prior exposure to project-driven industries such as engineering, construction, industrial services, oil & gas, or petrochemicals will be highly valued. Strong technical skills in Excel are essential, while experience with Power BI, Power Query, and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Business Central will be beneficial. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the confidence to challenge financial outcomes constructively.
