Develop and maintain financial models for the company's shipping and trading activities.
Prepare long-term vessel economic forecasts, including projected revenue, operating costs, cash flows, and profitability over periods such as five years.
Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and break-even analyses based on freight rates, bunker prices, operating expenses, interest rates, and market conditions.
Analyse vessel and fleet performance against budgets and forecasts.
Support investment assessments, business planning, and commercial evaluation of new projects.
Prepare management reports, financial presentations, and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
Consolidate and analyse financial, operational, and market data from multiple sources.
Improve financial models and analytical processes through automation and programming where applicable.
Monitor industry and market developments affecting vessel values, freight markets, and overall ship economics.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
1-2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, banking, shipping, commodities, or a related sector.
Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and quantitative analysis skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Programming knowledge in Python, SQL, VBA, R, or similar tools would be advantageous.
Exposure to shipping, commodity trading, investment banking, corporate banking, or project finance is preferred.
Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail.
Able to interpret complex information and translate it into clear commercial recommendations.
