Oversee full sets of accounting & prepare monthly management reporting
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations
Oversee the maintenance of general ledger accounts and trial balances
Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper eliminations for consolidated financial reporting and assist in monthly Group consolidation
Perform monthly financial analysis, including budget vs actual comparisons, with detailed review of manufacturing variances and clear explanation of key drivers
Investigate and explain key variances, working closely with costing accountant and production teams to identify root causes
Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts
Prepare regulatory reports required by authorities, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including GST filings, corporate tax reporting, and statutory submissions
Review and enhance accounting processes, ensuring efficient workflows and internal controls
Support internal & external audit
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Manager
Requirements:
A bachelor's degreee in accounting, finance or a related field
Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA is preferred
4+ years of experience in accounting or finance
Good technical knowledge in tax and accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience in EPICOR/ Microsoft BC365 would be an added advantage
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
