We are seeking a dynamic finance professional to drive transformation initiatives across Finance Operations through process optimization, digitalization, and technology enablement. This role will play a key part in modernizing finance workflows, supporting system enhancements, and ensuring smooth financial operations within an insurance environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, support new product implementations, and strengthen financial reporting and controls through automation and process redesign initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead finance transformation and operational improvement projects from initiation through execution and implementation.
- Review and enhance existing finance workflows to improve productivity, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
- Support the adoption of digital finance tools and automation solutions, including technologies such as RPA and Python-based initiatives.
- Design and implement enhanced finance operating frameworks aligned with business and operational objectives.
- Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and operating practices.
- Perform reconciliation and validation activities to support accurate and timely financial closing processes.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define finance-related system requirements for new initiatives and enhancements.
- Support new product rollouts, including finance setup activities, accounting configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Evaluate enhancement requests and transformation initiatives to ensure long-term sustainability and operational relevance.
- Monitor and track ongoing finance projects and operational improvements, including efficiency and regulatory-driven initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on projects aimed at improving finance controls, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Manage finance system access controls and ensure proper segregation of duties across users and functions.
- Prepare management presentations and transformation updates for leadership review.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience within the insurance industry would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with IFRS 17 is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of finance operations, accounting processes, and financial reporting principles.
- Proven project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Experience leading initiatives and working collaboratively across teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
- Exposure to finance transformation, automation, or digital finance initiatives would be highly beneficial.
