Key Accountabilities
Finance Projects, Controls and Governance
- Support regional roll-out of finance related projects and initiatives (e.g. new accounting standards, system enhancements) including requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination and UAT support, to meet project milestones and achieve desired outcomes.
- Participate in the ongoing review and maintenance of the Group Governance Manual (GGM) and Regional Finance policies, standards and procedures, contributing to continuous improvement of controls and operating effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to Group Auditors Independence Policy (AIP), including coordination of regional approval process for AIP submissions from Local Business Units (LBUs).
Regional Financial Oversight and Cross-functional Responsibilities
- Compile budget requests and forecasts from Regional Finance and Tax team and ensure timely submission to Eastspring Singapore's budgeting team.
- Review Group recharges allocated to Eastspring LBUs, ensuring that allocations are largely reasonable and supported by evidence of valid services, where applicable.
- Support the reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities relating to local solvency.
- Coordinate quarterly Sustainability Metrics Reporting process across LBUs, working with Group Sustainability team to ensure timely validation and sign-off.
- Support periodic transfer pricing reviews by liaising with Regional Tax team and LBUs across Eastspring entities.
- Act as Business Continuity Planning (BCP) coordinator for Regional Finance & Tax team, ensuring BCP plans are updated and communicated in a timely manner.
- Contribute to ad-hoc Regional Finance initiatives and projects as required.
Finance Operations and Reporting
- Perform day-to-day finance operations, month-end close, local and Group reporting for a non-operating entity, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Manage the statutory audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and timely filing of accounts.
- Coordinate the annual tax filing process, liaising with external tax advisors and Regional Tax team as required.
- Deliver monthly management reporting, quarterly forecast submissions, annual budget preparation and ongoing budget tracking for the entity.
- Perform independent reviews of third‑party payments and senior management expense claims to ensure compliance with internal policies and governance standards.
- Collate and submit weekly bank balances from Eastspring entities for submission to Group Treasury.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related discipline preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with data transformation, automation or analytics tools (e.g. Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate) is an advantage.
- Comfortable working with financial systems and reporting platforms (e.g. Oracle, OneStream)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within financial services, asset management, or external audit.
- Experience in financial reporting, audits, or governance‑related activities.
- Comfortable working across both operational responsibilities and project‑based initiatives.
- Demonstrates curiosity and openness to adopting new systems, tools and ways of working to enhance efficiency and controls.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels of seniority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to details.
