Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and operationally strong Finance Operations PMO professional to drive financial governance, invoicing operations, PO lifecycle management, project financial tracking, reporting automation, dashboard development, and PMO operational excellence across multiple technology delivery portfolios. This role will act as the operational bridge between Delivery, Finance, Procurement, Resource Management, Account Teams, and Leadership to ensure strong financial discipline, governance transparency, forecasting accuracy, dashboard-driven visibility, and operational efficiency across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Project Governance

  • Manage end-to-end project financial operations across multiple accounts/projects
  • Track project revenue, invoicing status, margins, costs, and financial health
  • Monitor project burns rates, resource utilisation, and budget consumption
  • Validate project financial data against approved SOWs, POs, contracts, and rate cards
  • Ensure accurate revenue forecasting and financial reporting
  • Identify financial risks, leakage areas, delayed invoicing, and operational inefficiencies
  • Coordinate monthly financial closure activities with Finance and Delivery teams
  • Support governance reviews, audits, and financial compliance activities

PO Management & Invoice Operations

  • Track full Purchase Order lifecycle:PO creation, PO approvals, PO consumption, PO expiry/renewals, PO balance monitoring
  • Maintain invoice trackers and ensure timely invoice submissions
  • Coordinate with Finance teams on Invoice processing, GRN matching, Billing disputes, Payment tracking, Revenue recognition
  • Monitor pending invoices and follow up with stakeholders for closure
  • Ensure billing alignment against timesheets, approved efforts, and project milestones
  • Support Change Request financial tracking and governance

PMO Operations & Delivery Governance

  • Maintain project governance dashboards and operational trackers
  • Track Resource onboarding/offboarding, Utilisation, Allocation management, Bench tracking, Forecasted demand
  • Support PMs and Delivery Leads with Financial reporting, Governance reviews, Operational compliance, Status reporting, Dashboard-based portfolio insights
  • Drive operational governance discipline across delivery portfolios
  • Coordinate internal governance meetings and action tracking
  • Maintain audit-ready project documentation and financial evidence

Reporting, Data Analytics & Dashboard Automation

  • Prepare executive-level dashboards and governance reports using Power BI and/or Excel
  • Design and maintain dashboards covering Revenue performance, Margin trends, Invoice status, PO consumption, forecast accuracy, Resource utilisation, Project financial health, Delivery governance KPIs
  • Analyse Revenue trends, Margin performance, Utilisation metrics, forecast accuracy, Cost optimisation opportunities
  • Build Excel-based and Power BI-based operational dashboards for leadership visibility
  • Develop KPI scorecards, trend reports, exception reports, and drill-down views
  • Consolidate large datasets from multiple systems for reporting and analytics
  • Automate repetitive reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Develop Excel-based governance models and automated trackers
  • Ensure dashboard data accuracy, refresh discipline, version control, and stakeholder usability

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Operations, PMO, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • PMP / PRINCE2 / PMO certifications are advantageous. Finance, Power BI, Excel, or data analytics certifications are a plus.
  • 5–12 years of experience in PMO Operations, Financial Operations, Project Financial Governance, Delivery Operations, Revenue & Invoicing Operations, Reporting, analytics, and dashboard development
  • Experience in IT Services / Consulting / Technology Delivery organisations preferred
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent projects/accounts
  • Strong operational governance and stakeholder management experience
  • Experience building dashboards or management reports for project, financial, resource, or portfolio governance.
  • Advanced Excel Expertise — Mandatory, Strong hands-on expertise in Pivot Tables. Hands-on experience in Excel Macros, VBA, Report automation scripting, Data transformation automation, Workflow optimisation scripting
  • Power BI Dashboarding Skills — Strongly Preferred
  • Strong with numbers and financial analysis, Advanced in Excel and reporting automation
  • Able to build clear, accurate, and executive-ready dashboards in Power BI and/or Excel
  • PMO & Financial Tools: Experience with tools such as: Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow, SAP, SharePoint.
  • Comfortable handling large datasets, reconciliations, and KPI reporting
  • Able to automate operational processes using VBA/macros/scripting
  • Experienced in PMO and project financial operations within IT services environments
  • Good to Have: Python scripting for reporting automation, PowerShell basics, SQL querying, API-based data extraction, RPA exposure, such as UiPath or Power Automate, Power BI Service workspace management, Power Automate integration with Excel, SharePoint, or Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Ability to work with large and complex datasets
  • Experience preparing leadership and executive governance reports
  • Ability to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting logic for governance dashboards
  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and drive improvements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong attention to detail, Ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines
  • Ability to present dashboard insights clearly to business and delivery stakeholders
