Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee finance and accounting operations for a dynamic company involved in administration, events, and related business activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports to support business decision-making
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to maintain financial stability and growth
- Monitor company expenditure and enforce proper financial controls and approval processes to safeguard assets
- Prepare event budgets, track event-related expenses, and report on event profitability to optimize event financial performance
- Collaborate with administration and event teams on budgeting, procurement, and cost management to align financial goals
- Manage payroll processes, coordinate CPF contributions, employee claims, and related payments to ensure timely and accurate compensation
- Prepare and submit GST returns and other statutory filings to comply with regulatory requirements
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretaries, banks, and government authorities to facilitate audits and compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies to maintain legal and financial integrity
- Develop and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and finance workflows to enhance operational efficiency
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Prior experience managing a full set of accounts independently
- Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, GST, corporate tax, and statutory requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA Singapore (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Experience in the events, entertainment, hospitality, F&B, or service industry (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach suitable for a small-company environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
