Finance Manager

1. Financial Reporting & Control

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

• Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risk.

• Coordinate external audits and tax filings (income tax, sales tax, VAT, etc.).

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process, working cross-functionally with department heads.

• Develop rolling forecasts and long-term financial models to support strategic initiatives.

• Analyze budget vs. actual variances and provide actionable insights to management.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Manage daily cash positioning, working capital (AR/AP/inventory), and liquidity.

• Forecast short-term and long-term cash needs.

• Oversee banking relationships, credit facilities, and investment strategies.

4. Financial Analysis & Decision Support

• Perform profitability analysis by product, service line, customer, or region.

• Evaluate ROI for capital expenditures, M&A opportunities, or new projects.

• Provide data-driven recommendations to reduce costs and increase revenue.

5. Team Leadership & Process Improvement

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of staff accountants, financial analysts, and/or clerks.

• Identify and implement finance system enhancements (ERP, BI tools) and automation opportunities.

• Ensure cross-training and succession planning within the finance team.

6. Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, tax laws, labor laws).

• Manage insurance, legal contracts, and financial risk exposures.

  Qualifications & Requirements

  Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.

  Experience

  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.

  • Proven experience with month-end close, budgeting, and financial modelling.

  • Experience with specific ERP, e.g., SAP required.
