Finance Manager (Shipping)

The Company

Be part of an established European MNC with strong expansion plans in Asia. Due to evolving business needs, we are actively recruiting for a Finance Manager to be based in the Singapore office.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, APAC and working in a team, you will be responsible for group financial closing and consolidation, accurately record financial transactions in the ledger for the APAC region's legal entities, ensure timely and accurate submission of all relevant reports, monthly closing of legal entities adhering to financial reporting standards. Other key responsibilities include analyzing and preparing detailed balance sheet specifications and reconciliations, proactively resolving any discrepancies and conduct timely intercompany reconciliations, collaborating with teams on all aspects of group financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and tax reporting. Monitor budgets and manage audits for assigned business units. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operating results in compliance with corporate policies, statutory requirements, and tax regulations for the Group. Coordinate with external auditors. Prepare and review statutory financial statements prepared by consultants. Perform treasury functions for certain regions, including producing monthly cash forecast reports on payments. Manage any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Head of Finance.

Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy with minimum 7 years of relevant work experience managing hands-on financial accounting, reporting and consolidation. It is essential to have strong knowledge in MS Excel. We are seeking a detail-oriented, independent, and proactive Finance professional with excellent interpersonal skills
