Our client is a growing organisation operating within the trading, distribution, and supply chain industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the Central West area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and month-end closing activities.
- Manage ARAP, cash flow, banking activities, and working capital to ensure healthy financial operations.
- Prepare management reports, financial statements, reconciliations, and analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial performance monitoring across business operations.
- Review inventory, costing, and operational expenses while identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal financial controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities on audit, compliance, and reporting matters.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes, strengthen operational controls, and enhance business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including finance system enhancements, reporting automation, and workflow optimisation.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties when required.
Requirements:
- Min Degree in Accounting/Finance, or related discipline
- Min 5 years of experience managing the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions
- Good knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal controls, statutory compliance, and tax requirements.
- Exposure to US GAAP, SOX compliance, or US tax regulations will be an advantage.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across different functions and regions.
- Willing to travel overseas occasionally during the onboarding period and thereafter as business needs require.
