Job Description

Job Summary:

As part of the Finance team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial oversight of labor-related activities within the group. This includes budgeting, forecasting, cost control analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will be result-oriented and have experience managing multiple stakeholders. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual labor budget, including detailed forecasting of staffing needs, wage rates, benefits, and other related expenses. Regularly update forecasts based on actual performance and anticipated business levels.
  • Cost Control & Analysis: Analyze labor costs, identify trends, and provide recommendations for cost optimization. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to labor productivity, overtime, and staffing efficiency. Implement cost control measures and track their effectiveness.
  • Payroll Processing Oversight: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations. Collaborate with HR and payroll providers to ensure data integrity and efficient processing.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on costs, including variance analysis against budget and forecast. Provide insights and recommendations to management on labor cost trends and potential areas for improvement.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, overtime regulations, and benefits requirements. Support internal and external audits related task.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with department heads, HR, and other stakeholders to understand their labor needs and provide financial guidance. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Contract Negotiation Support: Provide financial analysis and support during labor contract negotiations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA) preferred.
  • Experience with payroll processing and related systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently resolve issues.
