Job Description

Your duties and responsibilities as Finance Manager are detailed below:

1) Primary appointee responsible for all financial and accounts related matters of the Club, including but not exclusive to:

-Ensuring that all matters related to membership accounts are in order such as timely and accurate billings of members statement of accounts.

-Maintaining a full set of accounts that truly reflect the financial state of the Club.

-Managing all financial and accounts related functions necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the Club.

-Maintaining (and revising where applicable), documenting, implementing and enforcing a comprehensive set of financial and accounting procedures and processes necessary for effective administration of the Club.

-Maintaining (and revising where applicable), documenting, implementing and enforcing a comprehensive set of financial control measures for the efficient and proper utilisation of Club's funds.

-Preparation of various periodic financial statements, reports, summaries and analyses necessary for managerial accounting purposes such as monthly financial management reports for the Management Committee Meetings.

-Preparation and submission of quarterly GST returns.

-Conducting internal audit of all Club's accounts.

- Ensuring the readiness and correctness of the Club's accounts for external audit within two weeks after the end of each financial year.

- Liaison with all organisations and agencies that deal with the financial and/or accounting functions of the Club. These include but are not exclusive to banks, financial institutions, tax authorities, auditors, etc.

- Ensuring the safekeeping of all financial and accounts related documents of the past seven years.

- Attending promptly to all financial and accounts related problems with emphasis on providing long term solutions to those of a systemic nature.

- Administration of all accounts related to the Club's ongoing projects.

- Preparation and submission of all tax returns.

- Management of debtors accounts including the recovery of debts through all possible legal processes, e.g. submission to and attendance at the Small Claims Court.

- Ensuring the functionality of finance related matters in Club's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

- Managing of club's fixed asset, including conducting periodic audit.

2) Assist the General Manager in preparing and managing the Club's multi-year and annual budget.

3) Assist the General Manager in the prudent financial management of the Club's surplus funds with the view of improving its value such as in the placement of fixed deposits/investment.

4) Assist the General Manager in the personnel management, work schedule, welfare and training of all staff under your charge.

5) Assist the Club's management in the implementation of policies and decisions made by the Management Committee.

6) You will also be expected to perform any other suitable duties commensurate with your appointment as may be decided by the General Manager.
