The Role

This is the first senior in-house finance hire. You will build and run the finance function for the group: closing the books, paying the contractors, running the inter-company flows, producing the numbers, and keeping us clean across the board.

You will work directly with the CEO. You will coordinate external tax counsel, corporate secretarial advisors, banking partners, and insurance counterparties as a peer. We will give you the framework — you will operate it, and you will produce the numbers we run the business from.

Finance is the core remit. Over time, the right person will grow the role into adjacent operational ground — compliance, internal systems, vendor management. This is a generalist-shaped role built around a finance core. If you want a role that scales with the company, this is built for you.

This is not a strategic FP&A role. This is not a finance business partner role. This is build-it, run-it, grow-with-it — for an operator who likes their hands in the work.

What you will own

  • Monthly close across the group
  • Monthly P&L for the group and by department / cost centre
  • Monthly cash flow statement and balance sheet
  • Departmental expense tracking — actuals vs budget, with variances highlighted to the CEO
  • Rolling operating cash flow forecast — weekly view, 13-week look-ahead
  • 12-month financial projections, in partnership with the CEO, updated quarterly
  • Group consolidation and clean monthly reporting
  • High-volume international contractor payments — thousands of payments per month across multiple currencies
  • Treasury across multiple banks and currencies
  • Operationalising transfer pricing — applying the policy that external advisors set, every month
  • Inter-company invoicing, documentation, audit trail
  • Coordination with external tax counsel (multiple jurisdictions), corporate secretarial counsel, and banking partners
  • Compliance calendar — filings on time, every time
  • Accounts receivable — keeping clients paying on time

Who you are

  • 6 to 10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 in a global / multi-jurisdiction environment
  • CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
  • You have closed monthly books for multiple legal entities in parallel and know what good looks like
  • You produce clean monthly P&Ls, cash flow statements, and rolling forecasts as routine work — not exceptional events
  • Self-sufficient in Excel or Sheets — you can build and maintain a financial model without an FP&A team behind you
  • You can operate a transfer pricing policy month-on-month without hand-holding — you do not need to design it, but you do need to run it
  • You have managed high-volume contractor or vendor payments — accurately, on time, every time, across multiple currencies
  • Strong on Xero. Bonus for experience across more than one accounting system
  • Comfortable working with external counsel and advisors as a peer, not a relay
  • AI-native. You use LLMs every day. You are curious about where this technology is heading. You see AI as leverage, not a threat
  • Hungry. You want to build, not maintain. You want unusual ownership early in your career. You want to be where the next thing is being built, not where the last thing is being managed

How we work

We are remote-first. Our CEO is based in Singapore. The rest of the team is distributed across multiple time zones, with a heavy concentration across APAC.

You will be required in person at times — strategy sprints, leadership offsites, quarter-end close. Singapore-based candidates have an edge but it is not a requirement.

We move fast. We work hard. We work some weekends during build phases. We do not apologise for it. We are at the part of the journey where the work is the reward.

AI is in everything we do, including finance. We expect you to use it as a multiplier on yourself. If AI is changing finance excites you, you are in the right place. If it scares you, you are not.
