Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the pharmaceutical CDMO business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, compliance, and business partnering with manufacturing and operational teams. The role supports strategic decision-making while ensuring adherence to corporate policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements within a GMP-regulated environment. Industry examples commonly emphasize budgeting, manufacturing cost control, inventory valuation, and cross-functional support with Operations and Supply Chain teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
❖ Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
❖ Perform variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to management.
❖ Monitor business performance, profitability, and operational KPIs.
❖ Support strategic business decisions through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
❖ Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
❖ Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
❖ Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, local statutory requirements, and corporate policies.
❖ Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control
❖ Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis.
❖ Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Production teams to optimize manufacturing costs.
❖ Monitor CAPEX and OPEX spending for manufacturing projects and site operations.
❖ Analyze production efficiency, yield variances, and cost-saving initiatives.
Business Partnering
❖ Collaborate with site leadership and department heads on financial performance and operational initiatives.
❖ Provide financial support for pricing, contract negotiations, and customer profitability analysis.
❖ Support investment evaluations and business expansion projects.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
❖ Strengthen internal controls and financial governance processes.
❖ Ensure proper cash flow management and working capital optimization.
❖ Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership
❖ Lead and mentor finance and accounting team members.
❖ Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, ERP systems, and reporting tools.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education
❖ Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
❖ CPA, ACCA, CA, or MBA preferred.
Experience
❖ 5-10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience.
❖ Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or CDMO industry preferred.
❖ Strong exposure to manufacturing finance, costing, and inventory management.
❖ Experience in GMP-regulated environments is advantageous. Pharmaceutical finance roles frequently require collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory teams
