Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting & Control
  2. Oversee full set of accounts and ensure timely monthly closing.
  3. Review monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  4. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
  5. Coordinate and manage external audit, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
  6. Cashflow & Treasury Operations
  7. Prepare and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts, with clear visibility on funding gaps and liquidity position.
  8. Monitor daily cash position, working capital movements, and payment cycles.
  9. Execute treasury functions including payments, fund transfers, and utilisation of financing facilities.
  10. Take ownership of surplus cash management by optimising returns through placement in short-term deposits and other low-risk instruments, in line with treasury policies and liquidity requirements.
  11. Budgeting & Monitoring
  12. Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  13. Track actual performance against budget and highlight key variances and risks.
  14. Work closely with operations/project teams to ensure cost discipline and budget adherence.
  15. Funding & Banking Support
  16. Support the CFO in financing activities, including preparation of documentation for loan applications, drawdowns, and compliance submissions.
  17. Liaise with banks on operational matters such as facility utilisation, reporting requirements, and documentation.
  18. Monitor loan covenants and ensure timely submission of required information to lenders.
  19. Compliance & Governance
  20. Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  21. Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and financial processes to support scalability of the business.
  22. Maintain proper documentation for audit, tax, and financing purposes.
  23. Process Improvement & Projects
  24. Drive process improvements in finance operations, reporting efficiency, and system utilisation.
  25. Support ad-hoc projects such as system implementation, cost optimisation initiatives, or expansion-related financial tracking.
  26. Team Management
  27. Supervise and guide finance team members (AP, AR, GL) to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to timelines.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  2. Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (e.g., MIA, ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
  3. Minimum 5 years of working experience, with exposure to corporate finance, audit, or relevant finance functions.
  4. Prior experience in handling full set accounts, cashflow management, and financial reporting is preferred.
  5. Exposure to banking facilities, loan administration, or treasury operations will be an added advantage.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation skills.
  7. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  8. Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  9. Positive attitude, proactive, and willing to learn and take ownership.
  10. Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties (e.g., auditors, tax agents, bankers).
