Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for regional entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable standards.
- Collaborate with local teams and external consultants to ensure adherence to tax regulations and manage tax return filings.
- Supervise local statutory audits and act as a liaison with both internal and external auditors.
- Develop and enforce financial controls and policies to comply with corporate requirements.
- Partner with leadership to drive strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies that support profitable growth.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to inform management decisions.
- Evaluate and model significant capital expenditure projects alongside functional teams to meet financial targets.
- Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
- Manage regional cash flow and treasury activities to maintain liquidity for operations and investments.
- Work with the Corporate Treasury team and local bankers to optimize treasury functions.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a results-driven culture and enhancing team performance.
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding process for new finance professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and systems for enhanced efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, MIA) is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in senior finance or accounting roles within manufacturing environments, with at least 5 years leading teams of 5 or more.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS) and local accounting/tax regulations, particularly for Southeast Asia.
- Proficient in major ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools (Hyperion, OneStream, etc.) is desirable.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
