Finance Manager (Maritime Industry + People Management Experience Required)
Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the Vessel Finance team in Singapore. This role combines financial oversight, team leadership, stakeholder management and process improvement within a complex business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multi-functional finance team, ensuring clear accountability and consistently high performance.
- Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Review operational expenditure, funding requirements and significant financial transactions.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls, governance standards and reporting processes are maintained.
- Partner with senior management, clients and operational stakeholders on financial and business matters.
- Resolve complex reporting, operational and stakeholder issues requiring sound commercial judgement.
- Establish clear performance standards and service-delivery measures across the function.
- Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and improve existing finance processes.
- Lead process-improvement, automation and finance-transformation initiatives.
- Support the effective implementation and adoption of systems, digital tools and data analytics.
- Manage team performance, development, succession planning and workplace conflicts.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders on broader finance initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA or CMA strongly preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant finance experience, including leadership of sizeable or multi-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience improving processes, implementing change or supporting finance-transformation initiatives.
- Strong people-management skills, including the ability to manage different working styles and resolve conflict constructively.
- Experience within the maritime industry would be essential.
