Job Description

The Finance Manager oversees the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for GCP Singapore, ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements while providing financial insights that support business performance and strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with local statutory, tax, corporate secretarial and regulatory requirements, as well as Saint-Gobain Group policies and internal controls.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, government authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, departmental cost reports and management reports.
  • Support treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, banking matters and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business performance, cost management and informed decision-making.
  • Review and enhance finance processes, internal controls and operational procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Work closely with Shared Service Centre teams, including General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets, to ensure smooth finance operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to support business objectives.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations and industry best practices.
  • Support finance-related projects and system implementations, including e-Invoicing and other process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • Experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment is preferred. Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm will be an advantage.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of product costing in a B2B manufacturing environment, preferably chemical manufacturing, will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), IFRS and GAAP.
  • Good understanding of internal controls, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on and able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player with strong leadership capabilities.
