Our client is a family office, managing a diversified portfolio of investments across public markets, private equity, real estate, and other asset classes globally. The Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing and executing the financial operations of the family office, ensuring robust controls, timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective support. This role requires strong accounting expertise, operational agility, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisors for statutory audits and tax filings (local and international).
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Manage a team of 2-3 accountants.
- Support performance tracking and assist in preparing portfolio review reports.
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and refine internal controls and financial SOPs.
- Support ad-hoc related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or equivalent is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in finance operations, preferably in a family office, asset/wealth management or investment firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax, and financial reporting standards.
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders in China.
