Job Summary
We are seeking a Finance Manager to manage end-to-end financial accounting and reporting while supporting the company's business growth in Singapore. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts, including journal entries, sales invoicing, credit notes, and cash management.
- Oversee vendor payables, payment processing, and reimbursement claims with proper approvals and documentation.
- Monitor credit card settlements, commissions, and manage corporate credit card expense allocation and payments.
- Track daily bank balances and perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory records for jewellery, watches, and other products.
- Prepare statutory accounts, tax computations, and statutory filings in compliance with regulations.
- Administer payroll, including payroll calculations, pension contributions, payslips, and payroll database maintenance.
- Calculate sales commissions, prepare monthly commission statements, and compute annual incentive payouts.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reporting packages (US GAAP basis) to corporate headquarters.
- Maintain statutory books for local reporting and tax compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for audit and corporate tax matters.
- Support finance system implementation, bank payment applications, and submission of reports to government authorities.
- Provide finance and commission-related support to sales staff and perform ad-hoc duties assigned by Regional or Head Office Finance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with at least 5-7 years of relevant working experience.
- Professional accounting certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and business solutions/ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
