Delton Marine Pte Ltd is looking for a hands-on, organized, and resilient Finance Manager to take complete charge of financial operations during an exciting transition phase.
What We Are Looking For System Builder: Someone who can start from scratch, untangle historical accounts, and fix discrepancies in the General Ledger.
Process Architect: A leader to design and implement clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for daily financial workflows.
Team Mentor: A guide who can provide clear mentorship to our current accounts staff and elevate team performance.
Proactive Strategist: An expert who can move the company from a reactive state to a data-driven, forward-looking organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit and reconstruct historical accounts to resolve data gaps, rectify discrepancies, and establish a bulletproof General Ledger.
- Design and implement rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense management.
- Enforce internal controls and checks-and-balances to eliminate financial risks and guarantee data integrity.
- Build accurate costing models from scratch to precisely track labor, parts, materials, and operational overheads.
- Deliver project profitability analysis regularly to uncover cost-saving opportunities and minimize financial waste.
- Formulate rolling cash flow forecasts to optimize operational liquidity and working capital.
- Spearhead annual budgeting and conduct robust monthly variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to keep operations on track.
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for business growth.
- Manage and mentor the existing accounts team, providing daily leadership, training, and performance oversight.
Job Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years above in a senior accounting or finance role. Experience in Marine, Construction, or Engineering is preferred.
- Proven track record of cleaning up disorganized accounts or setting up a finance department from zero.
- Expert proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or ERPs) and advanced Excel.
- Minimum Degree in Finance/Accounting. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders, complete tasks independently, strong initiatives and complete assigned tasks within time frame.
- Preferred candidate who can start work in short notice.
