Finance Manager

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join a regional industrial business with operations across Asia. In this role, you will oversee overseas finance and shared services teams in financial close, reporting, and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely processing of company and consolidated financial statements.
You will support financial reporting and audit processes, manage intercompany reconciliations, and ensure adherence to tax, banking, and regulatory requirements. The role will involve working closely with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities while driving improvements in financial processes and reporting.
This position also supports budgeting and forecasting activities and works closely with a multi-cultural finance team to maintain strong financial governance and reporting standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee overseas finance teams and shared services in the financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely recording and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial information in accordance with financial reporting standards and internal reporting requirements.
- Review company-level financial statements, including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications, to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Review consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly statutory financial reports.
- Investigate and resolve intercompany differences and ensure accurate reconciliations across entities.
- Support the annual financial audit process and ensure timely completion of audited financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with tax filing requirements, banking covenants, and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, banks, and relevant authorities to support smooth financial operations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting and reporting processes.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by compiling financial information and analysis for management planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA is preferred.
- 812 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting, with exposure to group consolidation.
- Prior experience in Big 4 audit firms or experience working with multinational or regional organizations is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and consolidation processes.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and good understanding of financial systems and reporting workflows.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage reporting timelines effectively.
