Our client is a well-established organisation with a meaningful social impact, currently strengthening its finance capabilities through the implementation of a new enterprise finance system.
They are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager or Assistant Finance Manager who enjoys both financial accounting and improving how finance operates through technology. The Opportunity
This is a unique hybrid role combining hands-on finance responsibilities with the opportunity to become an internal finance systems specialist.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will:
- Support month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting and analysis.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in accordance with relevant standards and internal policies.
- Support finance operations, controls and reporting activities.
- Provide first-line support for the organisation's finance system, including user administration and basic troubleshooting.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external system partners to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Develop user guides and training materials, and help colleagues maximise the use of the finance system.
- Contribute to future finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will be supported to deepen their systems expertise over time while continuing to build a broad finance career.
About You
You are likely to have:
- A degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA or CA).
- At least five years of experience in financial accounting, reporting or finance operations.
- Strong accounting fundamentals with the ability to work hands-on.
- Experience using ERP or cloud-based finance systems. Participation in an ERP implementation or system enhancement project would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate financial or systems-related issues.
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders and supporting users.
- A genuine interest in finance systems, process improvement and continuous learning.
