Position Summary

The Finance Manager will support the Senior Finance Manager/Finance Director in managing the day-to-day finance operations, month-end closing, financial reporting, and controllership responsibilities for AEM Singapore Pte Ltd. • Prepare, review, and support management reporting, statutory reporting, audit schedules, cash flow information, and other finance submissions required by corporate, regional, and business stakeholders
  • Act as the key liaison between AEM Singapore and shared services teams covering GL, AR, credit, trade and non-trade payables, fixed assets, and related finance processes
  • Oversee intercompany transactions, eliminations, recharges, settlements, and related reconciliations to ensure proper accounting treatment and timely resolution of open items
  • Support compliance with accounting standards, group policies, statutory requirements, tax-related processes, internal controls, and audit readiness expectations
  • Work closely with business, operations, supply chain, procurement, tax, treasury, and corporate finance teams to resolve operational finance matters and improve end-to-end process effectiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to standardize processes, strengthen controls, improve reporting transparency, reduce manual effort, and shorten month-end closing timelines
  • Participate in finance transformation, SAP/SAP S/4HANA enhancement, automation, and cross-functional projects as required, and perform other duties relevant to the role

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 to 5 years in a controllership, closing, reporting, or finance management role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on experience in month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet review, audit support, and internal control compliance
  • Experience working with shared services, regional finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders in a multinational or matrix environment
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or technology-related industries will be advantageous
  • Good understanding of Singapore statutory, audit, tax, and regulatory requirements, with awareness of regional reporting practices preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP or SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with reporting, workflow, or automation tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and review skills, with the ability to identify issues, recommend practical solutions, and follow through to closure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain finance matters clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
