What you'll do:

As Finance Manager, you will play an instrumental role in establishing a robust finance function that supports the organisation's ambitious growth plans across the APAC region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing group consolidation activities, managing intercompany transactions, supervising daily financial operations, guiding offshore teams, developing internal controls, supporting ERP implementations, assisting with new market entries, ensuring tax compliance, resolving complex queries from stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement projects. Success in this position requires you to work closely with cross-functional teams while maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and collaboration. Your ability to foster knowledge sharing among colleagues will be key as you help shape best practices that underpin operational excellence throughout the business.

  • Oversee financial consolidation across multiple business units within the APAC region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in group-level reporting and audit processes.
  • Manage all aspects of intercompany accounting including eliminations, foreign currency translations, and group-level adjustments to maintain integrity in consolidated accounts.
  • Supervise daily financial operations such as accounts receivable, general ledger management, tax matters, and ensure timely month-end closing activities are completed efficiently.
  • Guide and mentor offshore team members by providing direction on financial controllership duties, fostering their professional development through regular feedback and support.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal control processes and procedures to guarantee compliance with relevant standards and regulations across all markets.
  • Support ERP system implementation and migration projects for entities throughout the region, ensuring seamless integration with existing financial processes.
  • Assist in new market entry initiatives by conducting research on financial and regulatory landscapes, helping formulate strategies for successful operational setup.
  • Manage tax reporting obligations including corporate income tax and GST compliance across multiple jurisdictions within the region.
  • Act as the main point of contact for resolving complex issues from both internal teams and external stakeholders by researching problems, evaluating solutions, and recommending process improvements.
  • Participate in continuous business maturity projects alongside finance colleagues to enhance operational efficiency through technological solutions or best practice adoption.

  • More than six years of progressive experience in group finance roles encompassing consolidation, financial operations, reporting responsibilities, with proven exposure to leadership positions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regional tax requirements as well as statutory reporting obligations relevant to multinational organisations operating across APAC markets.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing financial processes and internal controls that enhance compliance while streamlining operations for greater efficiency.
  • A passion for learning new skills combined with a proactive approach towards professional development within a supportive team environment.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities with meticulous attention to detail that ensures accuracy in all aspects of financial management.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, that enable effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners.

  • Proven track record of successfully supporting ERP system implementations or migrations within complex organisational structures is highly desirable.
