Job Summary
The Finance Management Report Specialist is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial management reports that support decision-making by senior management. This role focuses on transforming financial data into clear, accurate, and actionable reports related to performance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports (e.g., income statements, balance sheets, cash flow summaries).
- Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
- Identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities in financial data.
- Provide explanations and commentary for significant variances.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Track actual results versus budget and forecast.
- Assist departments in understanding financial performance and cost control.
Data Management & Accuracy
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data.
- Reconcile data from multiple systems (ERP, accounting software, spreadsheets).
- Maintain reporting templates and improve reporting processes.
Management Support & Communication
- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management and executives.
- Present financial insights in a clear, non-technical way.
- Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis requests from management.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation and standardization.
- Ensure reports comply with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Support internal and external audits when needed.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- Experience with financial reporting tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Ability to create dashboards and visual reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Education & Experience
Education

Experience
- Experience in financial reporting, management accounting, or financial analysis
- Experience in corporate finance or a similar environment is preferred
