Job Description

Role Overview

Reporting to the SEA Financial Controller, this role is responsible for the delivery of day-to-day financial and tax reporting across multiple SEA markets, offering a blend of technical accounting, tax oversight, stakeholder management, and regional exposure within a complex, matrixed organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close activities with shared services support, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies, and local GAAP
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations for financial, statutory, and tax compliance
  • Manage intercompany invoicing and assess related tax implications
  • Coordinate direct and indirect tax computations, filings, and regulatory compliance across markets
  • Review accruals, journal entries, and invoices to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper cut-off
  • Maintain and oversee the Fixed Asset Register, including new asset tracking
  • Liaise with external auditors during annual statutory audits and support tax audits where required
  • Partner with business stakeholders on accounting treatment for new initiatives and operational processes
  • Provide guidance on SAP usage, workflows, and issue resolution
  • Communicate effectively with regional and global stakeholders across multiple seniority levels

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Minimally 4-6 years of relevant experience, with a blend of commercial and 2-3 years in Big 4 firm.
  • Exposure to professional services, consulting, or similar environments is advantageous
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and both direct and indirect tax
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • SAP experience is a plus
