Job Description

Finance Lawyers | 3–6 PQE

Singapore's finance law market is moving. Across debt finance, project finance, and aviation finance, firms are actively hiring in the 3–6 PQE range, and the consistent ask is for lawyers who can manage cross-border transactions with real independence.

We place regularly across these practices and we're building our bench for mandates we're working towards in the second half of the year. If any of the below sounds like your current day-to-day, the conversation is worth having now rather than when a specific role surfaces.

Debt Finance & Projects | 3–5 PQE

A transactional role at a well-regarded international firm with a strong APAC footprint. The practice covers the full debt finance spectrum: project finance, acquisition finance, prepayment facilities, and general corporate lending, across energy, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, transport, and renewable power. Clients include international banks, multilaterals, private capital providers, and major project sponsors. There is meaningful client contact and travel. Common law qualified.

Projects & Infrastructure Finance | 5–6 PQE

A mid-to-senior seat at a firm with a top-ranked projects practice in Asia. The work is weighted towards power and renewables, energy transition, low-carbon fuels, battery minerals, and digital infrastructure. Prior experience drafting and negotiating project documents in a limited recourse context is required. FIDIC familiarity is an advantage. Singapore, England & Wales, or equivalent common law qualification.

Aviation Finance | 4+ PQE

A market-recognised aviation finance practice acting for airlines, lessors, financial institutions, and export credit agencies. The scope extends to shipping and offshore financing and aviation-related restructurings. Prior experience in aviation, leasing, and finance is a hard requirement for this role—it is the one practice here where a specific background is non-negotiable.

On fit

The scope of what firms want from a finance associate has widened. The line between project finance, infrastructure finance, and structured finance matters less than it used to, and we're already seeing hiring decisions that prioritise commercial judgment and cross-sector exposure over an exact prior seat match. If you have a broadly adjacent background and don't see yourself as a clean fit for any of the three above, reach out anyway—we're having those conversations now, ahead of Q3.

Write in with your updated CV and we'll be in touch for a confidential discussion.
