As a Finance Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance team by conducting sales and churn analyses, streamlining existing financial templates, and assisting in the preparation of month-end reports and presentations. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial analysis and reporting within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Churn Analysis
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth
- Calculate and interpret churn rates, providing insights into customer retention and acquisition strategies
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand factors influencing sales performance and customer retention
- Collaborate closely with Data and IT teams to resolve data issues and discrepancies
Financial Template Streamlining
- Review and update existing financial templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial modeling and reporting.
- Ensure consistency and standardization across financial documents.
Month-End Reporting & Deck Preparation
- Assist in the preparation of month-end close and monthly forecast activities
- Develop and update financial dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare presentation decks for management meetings, highlighting financial performance and insights.
- Any other ad hoc finance tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
- Experience with assignments (academic or professional work) that require the use and development of analytical skills, including use of Excel.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems such as Power BI, Hyperion, Oracle or other SAP systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced and growing company
- Highly self-motivated, hands-on, positive, result-oriented, a can-do attitude and a team player are essential.
- Independent, able to work with all levels in a high matrix organization, high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines, target, and objectives.
