Finance Intern

This is a great opportunity to work hands-on with a high performing global team focused on enhancing and protecting organizational value by providing consulting, auditing, and insight. Your internship with the internal audit team will be focused on internal controls testing and other project experiences to give you a broad understanding of the profession of Internal Audit.

You will be given the opportunity to help with all aspects of control testing from sample selection, test template documentation, examination of evidences and results evaluation. You will be given ownership of specific parts of the program and will be coached and supported in driving them to completion. In addition, you may also help with other audit projects in areas such as Compliance, Operations, and Finance.

As a member of our team, you will not just observe, but be an active participant in collaboration sessions, risk analysis brainstorming, project management discussions and maintaining internal quality standards. You will also explore using AI and data analytics tools in controls testing and other projects assigned.

We are more than a typical Internal Audit function, as many audits require starting from a blank canvas. We are proactive and dynamic group who have a track record of providing valuable strategic and tactical insights to company leadership. We are looking for an intern who is curious, eager to learn; and pays attention to the details while understanding the big picture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create process flow diagrams
• Coordinate with key business owners to gather information required to update controls documentation, where needed.
• Execute and document controls testing and other project specific tasks
• Analyze data and results under the direction of experienced auditors
• Report concisely and accurately on control issues noted
• Consider incorporating AI/data analytics tools in the controls/projects assigned
• Any other ad hoc finance tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Internship experience with a Big 4 accounting or auditing firm
• Excellent relationship management, verbal and written communication skills
• Clear and confident communicator with an affinity for visual storytelling
• Ability to understand and articulate complex business processes
• Be transparent and trustworthy
• Be proactive and take ownership of tasks assigned to you
