Swan & Maclaren is one of Singapore's most established names in architecture, design and engineering construction, with a proud legacy of shaping the region's built environment. We are expanding our financial leadership team and seeking a hands-on and experienced Finance Executive to manage the full set of accounts and GST reporting.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full set of accounts for entities within the group. This role requires a self-driven individual who is well-versed in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, GST compliance, and audit preparation. Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.

Accounts & General Ledger

. Manage and maintain the full set of accounts (AP, AR,GL) with minimal supervision.

. Process and record all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.

. Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets.

. Maintain and update fixed asset registers

Accounts Payable & Receivable

. Process supplier invoices, verify against purchase orders, and arrange timely payments.

. Manage accounts receivable, issue invoices, and follow up on outstanding collections.

. Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

. Process staff expense claims and reimbursements.

Banking & Treasury

. Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.

. Prepare and process payment runs (GIRO, internet banking transfers).

. Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate records of all banking activities.

GST & Tax Compliance

. Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns to IRAS accurately and on time.

. Liaise with tax agents for corporate income tax matters.

. Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and regulatory requirements.

Audit & Reporting

. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors.

. Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.

. Support the Financial Controller in preparing financial reports and variance analysis.

. Assist in budgeting and forecasting exercises as required.

Systems & Administration

. Maintain and update records in Xero accounting software.

. Ensure proper filing and archiving of financial documents in accordance with statutory requirements.

. Perform any other ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

. LCCI, Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

. ACCA / CAT qualification is an advantage

. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in handling full set of accounts

. Prior experience in the construction industry is advantageous

. Experience managing accounts for multiple entities concurrently is preferred

. Proficient in Xero accounting software (essential)

. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel

. Working knowledge of Singapore GST regulations and SFRS

. Familiarity with IRAS e-filing systems is an advantage

. Detail-oriented, meticulous, and able to workindependently

. Strong organisational and time management skills withability to meet deadlines

. Integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information

. Good communication and interpersonal skills

. Team player with a positive, can-do attitude

. Able to commence employment immediately
