Job Summary
The Finance Executive is a hands-on operational role responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for local and overseas entities. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent will support financial reporting, compliance, and cross-border accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and strong internal controls.
This role requires a proactive individual with a strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Exposure to global accounts is an advantage but not mandatory - the ideal candidate is eager to develop international accounting expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Accounting (Hands-On)
- Manage full-set accounting for assigned entities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger integrity and supporting schedules
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Overseas / Multi-Entity Support
- Handle accounting for overseas subsidiaries or branches
- Support intercompany billing and reconciliations
- Assist with foreign currency transactions and exchange adjustments
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax agents in various jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements
Month-End & Reporting
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare management reports and financial schedules
- Assist with consolidated reporting requirements
- Provide variance analysis and explanations
Compliance & Audit
- Assist with tax filings (VAT, GST, corporate tax, etc.)
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
- Maintain proper documentation and internal controls
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience in multi-entity or overseas accounting is an advantage
- Strong Excel and accounting system knowledge
