Finance Executive (Full-set)
Our client is looking for a Finance Executive to manage full-set accounts, financial reporting, GST compliance, audits and month-end closing activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities within established timelines.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including payment processing, collections, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare cash flow reports and support treasury and cash management activities.
- Prepare and submit GST returns, tax schedules, and audit schedules.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory authorities on accounting and compliance matters.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), statutory requirements, and internal policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation and filing practices.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and improve finance systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve finance-related issues and provide accounting support.
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives and undertake ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA Singapore, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with hands-on experience handling a full set of accounts.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience in financial reporting, month-end closing, audit coordination, and compliance activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and associates.
