Client is a Ore & Metals company seeking to hire a 6-month Finance executive.
Location: Central
Contract duration: 6 months contract
Salary: $6,000 to $6,500 per month
Your new role
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues, expense variances and balance sheet reconciliations)
- Support internal and external audit requirements, ensuring full documentation and compliance.
- Support budget preparation, system loading, and variance tracking against actual results.
- Review and manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely settlements, accurate cash positioning, and proper reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly journals, reconciliations, and relevant calculations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing.
- Assist with preparation of tax calculations when required
- Perform general administration and filing duties as required
- Perform ad-hoc financial accounting tasks as instructed by the Financial Controller
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. - Prepare financial closing schedules, bank reconciliations, and management reports including P&L by trade and exposure.
- Contribute to management reporting, providing meaningful variance analysis and insights to support strategic decisionmaking.
Contributing to internal meetings within divisions and other departments and companies locally or abroad. - Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiencies within the Finance Department and where necessary in the
Ensure function adheres to Group governance, policies and standards, statutory and legal compliance to entrench a culture of discipline.- Ensure the integrity of financial systems, policies and procedures and adhere to the applicable accountingstandard.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification such as CA (Singapore), CPA, or CIMA
- Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- Practical experience in commodity accounting processes and documentation, including understanding of trans-shipment procedures, LC/TR financing, and international trade documentation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good English communication skills - verbal and written.
