About the Role
The Finance Executive / Associate is responsible for managing end-to-end finance function of the Yuj group's entities across five jurisdictions. This role translates commercial decisions into rigorous financial records, forward-looking plans and optimized capital positions - ensuring that senior leadership always has accurate, decision-ready information. The incumbent is the primary point of accountability for financial reporting, audits, budgeting, treasury, tax and corporate compliances and the financial oversight of Yuj group entities. The role demands strategic acuity, attention to detail alongside precision in execution.
Responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Prepare group's holding statement reports on a monthly basis to senior leadership with meaningful commentary on movements.
- Prepare, finalize and report quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements for all group entities within stated timelines, ensuring applicable GAAP compliance and audit-readiness at all times.
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records, manage all intercompany reconciliations and ensure balances are settled within agreed cycles - ensuring there are no aged inter-co items.
- Oversee statutory audits serve as management's primary interface with external auditors to achieve on-time, clean audit opinions.
- Prepare, review and maintain a complete and up-to-date intangible asset (trademark) register for the Yuj group.
Planning, Budgeting and Performance
- Build, maintain and track annual expense budgets and rolling quarterly forecasts for all entities including mapping actuals vs budgets on quarterly basis
- Hold budget-owners accountable through structured variance reviews
- Build and maintain disciplined income forecasting and budgeting and tracking projected receipts and planned distributions
- Plan and track actuals and projected cash positions across entities to support decisions on capital calls, distributions, inter-entity funding and other opex payments.
Treasury and Banking
- Prepare and circulate group's treasury position movement summary on a weekly basis to senior leadership to assist in cash flow planning.
- Act as primary operational contact point for the Yuj group's banking relationships across all relevant jurisdictions negotiate fx solutions and cash management products to optimize yield and reduce cost.
- Design and implement a short-term investment policy to maximize returns on idle treasury balances within approved risk parameters. Monitor group's cash balances to ensure surplus funds are placed in deposits or other approved instruments.
- Ensure all bank accounts of group entities are operational at all times.
- Maintain updated authorized signatories, bank mandates and account structures in line with group's policies.
- Prepare wires, upload payment instructions, coordinate voice logs and follow-up for payment acknowledgements.
Taxation
- Maintain tracker for all group's open and closed tax matters. Reporting of this tracker to senior leadership on a semi-annual basis.
- Monitor end-to-end tax compliance calendar for all group entities: corporate income tax, ECI, GST/VAT, FSI-FM, Transfer Pricing, FATCA/CRS, withholding tax and beneficial-owner filings across Singapore, Mauritius, India, GIFT, Cayman, Europe and US.
- Review and ensure that group entities tax positions and intra-group cost recharges (if any) are robust, conservative and supported by commercial documentation.
- Identify and implement structural optimization opportunities - including entity-level tax positions, treaty utilization and transfer pricing policies - in coordination with external advisers.
- Manage all correspondence with tax authorities across jurisdictions (including applying for and obtaining certificate of residence / tax residency certificates) ensure timely, substantive responses to assessments, queries and notices.
- Maintain current awareness of regulatory change in each jurisdiction and brief senior leadership on material impacts.
Investee Portfolio Oversight
- Support KYC and due-diligence processes for new and existing investees and investing entities.
- Review and assess financial reports, valuations, action capital call notices and track distribution statements received from investee companies.
- Monitor investees adherence to the terms of shareholders agreements, reporting obligations and other rights escalate material breaches or structural concerns to senior leadership with recommended remediation steps.
- Review valuation of underlying investee to support audit queries. Ensure proper documentation is maintained independently with finance function.
- Support intra-group restructuring exercises to keep group structure efficient and optimal at all times.
Qualifications
- Professionally qualified accountant - CA (ICAI / ICAEW), CPA or equivalent.
- Big-4 training background preferred.
Experience
- 2 - 5 years post-qualification, with at prior experience in a finance role at an investment manager, fund administrator or diversified holding company an added advantage.

Technical Skills:
IFRS financial statements multi-entity consolidation Technically sound with Excel and MS Office ERP proficiency (Zoho or similar).
