Job Description
- Lead and supervise a team handling grant-related financial operations
- Manage month-end and year-end closing, including preparation and review of audit schedules
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of grant-related balance sheet accounts
- Review grant documentation and apply appropriate accounting treatments
- Maintain and update project accounts, including variations and lifecycle tracking
- Ensure timely claims submissions and disbursements
- Monitor and clear outstanding items, closing project accounts upon completion
- Review grant billings, statements, and incoming funds reconciliation
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve stakeholder queries
- Handle GST, corporate tax, and statistical reporting related to grants
- Liaise with internal and external auditors on audit matters
- Drive and participate in process improvement initiatives
- Support ad-hoc finance projects and assignments
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum 3 years of relevant GL accounting experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and audit processes
- Experience in managing or guiding junior team members
- Meticulous, analytical, and able to work with tight deadlines
- Good communication skills to liaise with stakeholders
