About the Opportunity
- Adecco is partnering with a leading Investment Holding Company to identify a seasoned Finance professional with strong expertise in strategic finance, commercial finance, and financial controllership.
- This is a high-impact leadership role, serving as the CFO's trusted finance partner. The incumbent will lead Group-level strategic and commercial finance initiatives at the holding company while overseeing the financial performance and governance of its portfolio companies.
Main duties & and responsibilities
- Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership to drive Group financial strategy, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, long-term value creation initiatives, and strategic projects, including M&A and investment evaluations.
- Lead Group strategic and commercial finance activities, providing financial analysis, business performance insights, and decision support to optimise capital allocation and portfolio performance.
- Oversee Group financial controllership, including consolidated financial reporting, statutory compliance (SFRS/IFRS), external audits, board reporting, and the integrity of financial reporting at the holding company level.
- Provide financial oversight and governance across the Group's portfolio companies, partnering with finance leaders to monitor performance, strengthen financial discipline, and drive operational improvements.
- Lead Group treasury, tax, and financial governance, overseeing capital management, cash flow, banking relationships, transfer pricing, internal controls, delegated authority frameworks (DOA), and regulatory compliance.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities across the Group, delivering commercial insights and strategic recommendations to the CFO and Board to support informed decision-making and sustainable business growth.
The Talent
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA / CA / ACCA / ICAEW qualification.
- Over 15 years of relevant experience in established organizations and at least 4 years in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Proven track record as a strong finance leader, with extensive experience working with C-suite, board level, investors, and investment portfolios.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to drive business and investment strategy initiatives.
- Strong business acumen and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders.
