Job Description

Position Summary

The Financial Controller will lead the Finance team and serve as a key business partner to the BU Director and senior management. This role oversees all financial and accounting activities, provides strategic insights to support company growth, ensures timely and accurate reporting, and drives operational excellence across manufacturing facilities across locations. The Controller will balance compliance, risk management, and performance optimization while building a high‑performing finance organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute growth strategies, optimize financial performance, and strengthen the company's strategic position.

  • Provide risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting to support business development.

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.

  • Ensure accuracy of management reports for decision-making.

  • Develop and drive the budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and raw material cost reviews.

  • Monitor variances and provide actionable insights to management.

  • Partner with operations to align financial planning with production schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, GST regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Publish monthly reports and challenge assumptions to facilitate decision‑making.

  • Review and strengthen internal controls.

  • Suggest process improvements to enhance governance and efficiency.

  • Implement and monitor cost accounting systems for e-box and rack production.

  • Track material, labor, and overhead costs to optimize margins.

  • Drive initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities for system and operational improvements.

  • Coordinate stock counts, ensuring compliance with standard procedures and controls.

  • Set goals, manage succession planning, and conduct performance reviews.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Finance team.

  • Participate in corporate initiatives and project management as required.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 4 years in manufacturing.

  • Professional certification (Chartered Accountant / Certified Public Accountant) is necessary

  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial controls.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal & collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Syspro).
