Job Description

Finance Business Controller - Global Maritime & Infrastructure Group

Overview
This is a well-established international enterprise with diversified operations spanning shipping, logistics, natural resources, and infrastructure. Headquartered in Singapore, the group manages a substantial global asset base, including capital-intensive operations and long-term investments. As part of its ongoing expansion and preparation for potential capital markets activities, the organisation is enhancing its senior finance leadership capabilities.

Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will partner closely with the Financial Controller to deliver financial insights, performance evaluation, and forward-looking analysis to support strategic decision-making. The role will also contribute to financing initiatives, banking relationships, audit processes, and board-level reporting. Given the organisation's trajectory towards capital markets readiness, familiarity with listed-company reporting standards and governance frameworks will be critical.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, along with a recognised professional qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA) with more than 10 years experience. Candidates with a background in a Big 4 accounting firm, followed by experience in a listed or large corporate environment, will be highly regarded. You should demonstrate hands-on experience across end-to-end finance functions, including exposure to treasury and financing activities, as well as a solid understanding of compliance and governance requirements. Strong analytical thinking, financial modelling capabilities, and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work independently while engaging effectively with senior stakeholders. Due to the regular need to engage with business operations and stakeholder groups from North Asia, fluency in Mandarin is essential.
