A leading global quantitative trading firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its Mumbai Accounting team. This role supports core accounting, reporting, and finance operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily P&L, cash, and position reconciliations
- Manage month-end close, including financial statements, accruals, and capital allocations
- Support automated reporting and reconciliation using SQL, Python, and Excel
- Assist with audits and financial reporting under Indian GAAP
- Partner with tax teams on filings and compliance requirements
- Oversee cash, collateral, and banking activities, including forecasting
- Prepare regulatory reports and support capital movements
- Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc reporting
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 3-5 years of accounting experience in a regulated financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP (US GAAP a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills SQL/VBA preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across global teams
