Support finance functions, including accounting, taxation, and regulatory reporting for both regulated and unregulated entities within the APAC region.
Responsible for monthly reporting of entities involving expense booking, cost allocations, tax calculation, and financial data variance analysis.
Prepare and maintain audited financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Partner with the US Finance team to ensure global financial operations are in line with best practices.
Collaborate with the Business COO to support dynamic new regional projects and initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and work collaboratively with the Technology team to enhance and automate these processes.
Engage with local and regional management to pinpoint risk areas, ensuring they are escalated and resolved in a timely manner where appropriate.
Participate in various ad-hoc project work as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in accounting or related discipline
Possess 5-8 years of accounting experience, particularly within a Big 4 public accounting firm
Experience in working in financial institutions, including international hedge funds, investment management firms, and/or securities brokers
Knowledgeable in IFRS is essential and a strong grasp of US GAAP preferred
Have experience in regulatory reporting and an understanding of MAS and SFC reporting requirements. Knowledge of JFSA/BoJ reporting is a plus
Experience in transfer pricing and operational tax accounting
Highly proficient with computer skills, especially Microsoft applications experience with Oracle, Power Bi, and Alteryx is advantageous
