We, at Ray of Hope, help those who have fallen through the cracks. We are looking for a Finance Assistant (part-time) to help the Finance & Admin Manager make a world of difference to the donations that for these families.

The Role
Finance Assistant (part-time)
Job Description:
Your key responsibilities will include:
Financial Duties
Assist in payments and providing of payment advice to external partners
Ensure invoices and bill payments are promptly updated in Xero Accounting System
Assist in external auditors queries when needed by the finance manager
Processing of donation disbursements and invoices weekly in DBS IDEAL
Processing of ad-hoc operational expenses payments in DBS IDEAL
Reconciliation and Reporting
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations (2 DBS accounts and 1 Cash on Hand Account)
Prepare monthly reconciliations for payment gateways- Stripe and Omise
Assist in ad-hoc reporting requests and reports for case managers
Preparation of manual journals monthly and at year-end closing
Assist in audit preparation such as journals and bank reconciliation book-keeping
Other general and ad-hoc duties
Handle queries from case managers regarding disbursements made weekly via DBS IDEAL
Send list of payments to beneficiaries and update campaigns weekly
Assist in remittances to overseas clients monthly with Finance Manager
Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by finance manager that may arise from time to time
What are we looking for in our Finance Assistant (part-time)
1. Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in the financial sector
2. Minimum Diploma / Equivalent Qualification in Accounting
3. Proficient in MS Word and Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive
4. Service oriented, meticulous, and proactive
5. Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic team environment
6. IT savvy with I-banking module for corporates such as DBS IDEAL
7. Candidate can expect a flexible working arrangement
The following attributes and skill sets are an advantage:
1. Experience in using Xero Accounting System
2. Analytical skills: Ability to identify issues and troubleshoot matters relating to financial data
